September 11, 2006, Phoenix, AZ: Evaluation and Certification Services, LLC has signed a five year management services contract with the Arizona Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. Under the agreement ECS will assume the roles of Executive Director and Secretary/Treasure of the Chapter. ECS will schedule and manage all of the ACI Certification courses and exams administered by the Chapter and will maintain its day to day operations.
Earlier in the year, ECS signed a contract with Phoenix, Arizona based Smart Homes Alliance to provide management services on an ongoing basis. The Alliance is an association of Arizona cement producers and concrete and masonry related trade associations whose mission is to promote the use of cement based building materials and systems in residential construction. The group will initially focus on the creation of an energy credit program for builders of thermally superior homes, and the implementation of pilot projects to showcase the advantages of cement based building materials used to construct above grade walls in single and multi family houses.
