Disclaimer and Limitations
The terms “certification” and
“certified” as used in the context of this program
are defined as meaning that ECS has verified
(through reasonable effort) that an individual has
completed the program requirements identified herein
and has demonstrated their retention of applicable
knowledge by achieving a minimum required score on a
final exam. ECS is not an enforcement agency and
does not perform ongoing evaluations of a person’s
job site performance or fitness. ECS is not
certifying that an individual is capable of
performing any specific task(s) in the field.
Proficiency in working with
post-tensioning systems is best obtained through a
combination of formal classroom training and
on-the-job field experience. Each individual will
learn and display proficiencies at their own unique
rate. Individuals, including the certified
Ironworker, should not rely solely on the Post
Tensioning Ironworker Certification™ as evidence or
proof that they are capable of performing a specific
operation in the field. Ironworkers, employers, and
other project personnel should exercise their own
diligence in determining fitness to perform specific
tasks on the job.
An Ironworker who has obtained Post
Tensioning Ironworker Certification™ should evaluate
their own skill level and should perform only those
tasks that they feel they are capable of performing
in a safe and successful manner.
